Egyptian Architecture:
- Hieroglyphics: This was used to write the Ancient Egyptian language. In the beginning hieroglyphics were used by Scribes to keep records of the king's possessions. There are now about 750 signs in hieroglyphics.
- Art can be found in tombs and temples.
- On the tomb walls art would tell the story of the diseased.
- Sculptors were important in Egypt at this time.
- The sculptors would build sculptures of the kings, scribes, gods, goddesses, etc.
Egyptian Architecture:
- Stone, granite, limestone, and sandstone all were used to make temples and tombs.
- Architectures planned all of this carefully, making sure each block fit together precisely.
- The Pyramids- the pyramids were built in a time when Egypt was one of the richest and most powerful countries. The peak of pyramid building began during the third dynasty and ended around the sixth dynasty.
